Noche Diaz arrested at the University of Chicago

"America Was NEVER Great! We Need to Overthrow, Not Vote for, This System!” This was the message being delivered by Noche Diaz, of the Get Into the Revolution National Organizing Tour, moments before he was violently assaulted and arrested by University of Chicago Police as he was peacefully leaving Campus North Residential Commons. Police assaulted others, sending one young woman to the hospital.

Noche Diaz will join us to talk about what happened, what it means, and why people need to stand against this.

Since the interview, Noche Diaz has defiantly returned to the University of Chicago.

"The Ruins of Lifta"

Lifta is the only Arab village abandoned in the 1948 Arab-Israeli war that has not been completely destroyed or repopulated by Jews. Its ruins are now threatened by an Israeli development plan that would convert it into an upscale Jewish neighborhood. For Menachem Daum, a filmmaker and an Orthodox Jew from Brooklyn, it is the place that caused him to question things he had been told his whole life. "The Ruins of Lifta - where the Holocaust and the Nakba Meet," is the moving story of his journey.
