There is the potential for something of unprecedented beauty to arise out of unspeakable ugliness: Black people playing a crucial role in putting an end, at long last, to this system which has, for so long, not just exploited but dehumanized, terrorized and tormented them in a thousand ways—putting an end to this in the only way it can be done—by fighting to emancipate humanity, to put an end to the long night in which human society has been divided into masters and slaves, and the masses of humanity have been lashed, beaten, raped, slaughtered, shackled and shrouded in ignorance and misery.

ABOUT BOB AVAKIAN

I had the opportunity and privilege to conduct an extensive and unique interviews with Bob Avakian, the Chairman of the  Revolutionary  Communist Party, which we aired in two special series on my radio show.

Because of Bob Avakian and the work he has done over several decades, summing up the positive and negative experience of past communist revolutions, and drawing from a broad range of human experience, there is a new synthesis of communism that has been brought forward - there really is a viable vision and strategy for a radically new and much better society  for the world, and there is a crucial leadership that is needed to carry forward the struggle towards that goal.  Get to know BA

2012 Interviews with Bob Avakian

The 2012 presidential elections, the illusion behind elections under this system; the lies told about the history of communism, the real potential for revolution in this country and the strategy for that revolution; what the goal of this revolution is and, in particular, what the breakthroughs are that are concentrated in the new synthesis of communism that he has brought forward.

The strategy for revolution, why it's not crazy to be thinking about revolution, and what's the importance of winning: not just talking about revolution, but the importance of actually winning.

The horror that the world is today, and the need for revolution as the only way to fundamentally change it. Who are the people who are going to make this revolution: Who are they, and where are they going to come from? How there will never be a revolution in this country without the people at the bottom of society being the backbone and the heart of it. The importance of students and middle class people taking up and becoming part of this revolution as well.

Is it really possible to have a liberated, socialist society with whole new ways of relating to each other and to the world? He dissects the argument that human nature with all of its "me first and screw the rest of you" outlook makes such a world impossible. And he digs into revolutionary morality, what it is and what difference will it make in a socialist society?

Do people have to be angels in order for such a revolution and socialist society to be realized? - The role of a constitution, the rights of the people in society, what his new synthesis would look like in socialist society, including important questions about dissent, art and culture. The need for a state and the dictatorship of the proletariat under socialism - what it would look like, and how it would work. What does communism mean, and why would there be no state under communism? How do we keep the revolution going and avoid settling in until we end all oppression and inequality? Finally, he talks about what it is that keeps him on the revolutionary road.
